The Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL) is a rapidly growing International Institute, and is now the professional body of first choice for those specialising in training, development and occupational learning. ITOL members include training consultants, instructors, training managers, NVQ assessors, professors, lecturers, training directors and training designers, working in every sector of industry, commerce, government, not-for-profit organisations and the Armed Forces.   • Foundation Certificate in Staff Development

Level 1

Foundation Certificate in Staff Development:

This qualification provides hands-on trainers with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to design and deliver a range of training activities in the workplace. The programme will enable individuals to assemble and deliver sound, effective training sessions and events. It will provide a solid foundation from which individuals may progress onto further learning & development professional programmes.

Who should attend?

No previous experience will be assumed.

The qualification is for:

  • Anyone who is required to give one to one instruction or who will deliver classroom based training sessions.
  • Individuals with an interest to move into training and development.
  • Individuals within business and organisations who, as part of their wider role, have a responsibility to deliver training.
  • Line managers, team leaders and coaches who wish to gain more impact from development in team meetings and short training sessions.

Level 2

Certificate in Training & Occupational Learning

This qualification is of relevance to the Learning Professional who is looking to gain more influence in his or her organisation. Participants will develop strong skills in the analysis, design and delivery of training, enabling them to implement full training programmes that help to achieve organisation objectives.

Who should attend?

This programme follows on from the Foundation Certificate in Staff Development. Potential candidates for the Certificate should normally complete the Foundation Certificate first.

This qualifications is for:

  • Those within a full time training or learning and development role seeking to ensure a strong knowledge and skill foundation from which to progress their career.
  • Those with some experience and wishing to consolidate their knowledge and skills with a relevant qualification.
  • Those wishing to establish a strong basis to move onto the Advanced Certificate and specialist Diploma.
  • Those entering management roles with the L& D Profession and seeking to appreciate the unique roles within their new domain.

Level 3
