Jill Wheeler - Head of Mentoring & Learner Support

Jill Wheeler

Jill’s experience and varied background gives her the ability to provide the highest standards of service and support within Catalyst. Her focus is to support to student coaches, who are working towards their accreditation. She approaches this task with a simple philosophy, “To treat others how we like to be treated our self”. Jill firmly believes that real support is not about treating everybody the same, but about understanding them and meeting their needs as individuals.

In the past, Jill worked primarily in the retail sector in HR Management and Training, although earlier roles also involved Customer service and Sales and Marketing. In 2005 she trained and successfully achieved her license to work in the corporate arena as a Coach/Trainer for Tesco, where, she was involved in implementing a bespoke Cultural Change programme for the organisation, focusing on Leadership. Subsequently, Jill decided to further her career in Coaching and gained a Distinction in her Coaching accreditation, endorsed by the ILM - Institute of Leadership and Management.

Jill runs her own Coaching and Training business; she is a Corporate and Personal performance Coach and Trainer. She also finds time in her busy schedule to contribute, and she is currently involved in a voluntary Leadership Coaching programme for a London University. Her specialist area is confidence and self esteem Coaching; she believes it is important as it relates to everything we do whether it is to create more fulfilment in our life or improving the bottom line in an organisation. She sees coaching and supporting others to ‘Be who they want to be’ as personal fulfilment rather than work, which accounts for her passionate style!

Mark Charnick

Mark joined Catalyst in January 2007 after a successful 16-year catering career working in Southampton, London and France.
