Catalyst Coaching Accreditation
Modules 1, 2 and 5 are compulsory for learners completing the Catalyst Coaching Accreditation (fully endorsed by the ILM), together with your choice of Modules 3 or 4 or both.
Module 1: 2 - day Personal Development / Coaching Skills (Weekend or mid-week)
- Gain the confidence and competence to become an outstanding coach.
- Know the primary coaching models and find your preference.
- Enhance your portfolio of coaching skills and techniques.
- Communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately within the coaching relationship.
- Follow ethical guidelines and standards.
Module 2: Supported Learning (three to twelve months)
- Assessment of course work/theory and practical.
- Six sessions of mentoring with qualified trainers and coaches, including feedback.
- Workshops to support the learning.
- An individually designed action plan for completing the coursework.
Module 3: 1- day Corporate Coaching Workshop
- Encourage and motivate individuals and teams.
- Set measurable work related and personal goals.
- Contracting with stakeholders, sponsors and individuals within the workplace.
Module 4: 2 - day Sales and Marketing Workshop
- Learn low-cost marketing strategies for your business.
- Learn how to build value and desire for coaching.
- Attract paying clients.
Module 5: Coaching Skills Workshops
- Develop on skills learned from Module 1
- Learn basic skills on practice managment and supervision
Assessment
To qualify for our Internal Accreditation the Learner must complete Modules 1, 2 and 5. You also have the option to complete Module 3 or Module 4 or both.
Students will be assessed on their practical coaching skills and the written course work, which they are required to submit according to their individual learning plan. It is anticipated that each learner would devote a minimum of 200 – 300 hours to complete the course including reading and individual study time.
The course comprises:
- 6 days of face- to- face Training (Total 48 Hours)
- Monthly workshops – 2 hours Tuesday or Thursday evenings
- Monthly ‘drop in’ coaching clinics
- 6 x 45 minute coaching sessions with a minimum of 5 Practice Clients
(Minimum Total 22.5 Hours) - 6 x 1 hour Coaching/Mentoring sessions (Remote) with qualified Mentor Coach (Total 6 Hours).
- Ongoing support from the Coaching Team at Head Office
In addition each student is required to read 5 specified books covering all aspects of coaching and must submit:
- Book Review reflecting the learners’ understanding of the authors Coaching style. (1000 words)
- 15 Assessment questions designed to demonstrate the learners understanding of the Coaching process, their ability to coach and their knowledge of the Code of Practice. (4500 words)
- Coaching Assignment focussing on how the learner will use and implement their skills in the work place or develop their own practice.(6000 words)
- Final Practical assessment with Head of Mentoring and Learner Support
Students will receive all the resources required to complete the course including manuals, books, CDs and unlimited access to Trainers and Mentors via email and telephone.
All written work is assessed and marked by our Internal Moderator. Copies of all written work are retained and filed at Head Office and would be available upon request to our External Verifier at the ILM - Please note assignments may be subject to change.
